Police on Thursday charged Tyler Leopoldino, who was apprehended by an auto theft task force, with three counts of unauthorized control of a stolen vehicle, two counts each of first-degree terroristic and driving without a license, plus single counts of first-degree robbery, first-degree attempted unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, resisting an order to stop, reckless driving, unauthorized possession of confidential personal information, third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, third-degree promotion of a harmful drug and drug paraphernalia.
The most serious charge, first-degree robbery, carries a possible 20-year prison term upon conviction.
Leopoldino’s bail was set at $231,000 and he’s being held at Hawaii Community Correctional Center pending his initial appearance in Hilo District Court Friday.
